AquaMark3 Anti-Aliasing Tests |
Cleaning up the edges and smoothing scenery |
|
Remember those AquaMark3 AA
screen shots we showed you earlier in this piece?
ATi's AA is not only slightly better than NVIDIA's, it's
also somewhat faster. It's interesting to note that
NVIDIA's new Det 51.75 drivers may have improved AA
performance a bit as well, although the difference may be
more attributed to the 2X AF settings we used in these runs.
Regardless, if you like to turn on AA and leave it on (and
who wouldn't with a $300 - $500 graphics card?), then ATi's
Radeon 9800 Pro has the edge here in AQM3.
