Just because Christmas is over doesn’t mean that the deals have to end on gaming consoles. While we haven’t historically seen many sustained discounts or bundle offers with Sony’s PlayStation 4, Microsoft doesn’t have a problem with piling on the discounts for the Xbox One and Xbox One S.

The latest Microsoft promo lasts through December 31st and allows customers that purchase a brand-new Xbox One or Xbox One S to get a “free gift” with purchase. Depending on the retailer that you purchase from, you’ll receive a free game, free Xbox Stereo Headset or a free Xbox Wireless Controller.

Microsoft details the offer, writing:

  • For console purchases at Best Buy, Amazon or Walmart.com, get a free Xbox Wireless Controller
  • For console purchases at GameStop, get a free Xbox Stereo Headset in white or black
  • For console purchases at Target or Microsoft Stores, build your gaming collection with a free game of your choice

If you look around, you can stack the offers for an even better deal. For example, if you buy an Xbox One S from Best Buy, not only will you receive a free Xbox Wireless Controller, but the retailer will also toss in a free $50 gift card.

If that isn’t enough to get your gaming juice flowing, Microsoft’s Xbox Store Sale is still taking place, and lasts through January 9th. Microsoft is offering up to 75 percent of select titles, with popular titles like Gears of War 4 and Battlefield 1 going for $27 and $38.99 respectively.
