DailyTech has managed to get their hands on a preliminary sample of ATI's upcoming mainstream RV570 GPU and has posted some early performance results for your viewing pleasure. Based on a 80u process, this new GPU features 36 Pixel Shaders and 12 pipelines and is said to run with a core frequency of 580MHz and memory running at 700MHz....

Fudo over at The Inquirer reports that their sources have indicated that ATI's upcoming RV570 GPU will be released with a surprisingly low $199 price point.
