Each year the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) holds an annual games award show and this year was the 21st annual event. The awards show crowns a game of the year and hands out other awards during the show. Nintendo cleaned up with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild receiving four awards in various categories including Game of the Year. Nintendo has issued a new patch (version 1.3.1) for its crazy popular The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game for both its hybrid Switch console and Wii U. According to the release notes, the patch stomps out some lingering bugs and doles out various fixes to improve game play. And in a unique twist, the latest patch adds a new News channel to the Switch that will reward gamers with in-game items.The channel is called "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Tips from the Wild" and will be accessible starting Wednesday (August 9, 2017). Nintendo did not concern itself with getting into a specifications war with Microsoft and Sony when it developed its hybrid Switch console. As such, even though it is the newest game system on the block, it is not the most powerful, nor is it built for 4K Ultra HD game play.
