One of the most popular shows that Netflix has ever made, and it's made some good ones, is Stranger Things. The main bad guy in Season 1 was the Demogorgon, and Netflix has teamed up with the devs behind the video game Dead By Daylight to give gamers the chance to play as the monster. If you get tired of playing as the Demogorgon, you can also play as Nancy Wheeler or Steve Harrington. The update also comes with a new map that of the underground complex at the Hawking National Laboratory. Strange things are happening inside Fortnite, the wildly popular, free-to-play battle royale. Scratch that—Stranger Things, as in the equally popular Netflix original. Portals are popping up in Fortnite in what is a clear Stranger Things tie-in, just ahead of the show's Season 3 premier tomorrow on the streaming video service. Microsoft's social media accounts having been acting a bit "strange" this morning. On both its official Twitter and Instagram accounts, Microsoft posted a video announcing the "All-New Windows 1.0, with MS-DOS Executive, Clock and more." The video itself starts off showing the current Windows 10 logo, then travels backwards displaying older Windows logos including Windows 7 and Windows 95 before settling on the logo for Windows 1.0. During this time, some synth-heavy music plays in the background with graphics that looks like something straight out of the 1980s. Netflix is riding a wave of popular shows directly to a boom in subscribers that has had a significant impact on its market capitalization. In the last quarter of 2017, Netflix had 2 million more customers sign up for the steaming service than Wall Street had predicted. The massive subscriber numbers go to show that while Netflix has been around for a long time, it still has room to grow. The massive bump in subscribers helped the streaming giant to triple profits, giving it more money to use for original programming to lure in even more subscribers.
