It was a good run for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, a pair of flagship phones Google released in 2018. Now a year and a half later, however, Google has sold out of its remaining inventory of both handsets and does not have any plans to produce more of them. So, if you are interested in buying one, you will have to track one down outside of Google's Store. The landing pages for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL now redirect users to the main Google Store page. And if you expand the Phones category, you will see just two listings now—Pixel 4 and Pixel 3a (both of which are still available). Late in December, we got our first glimpse at the Google Pixel 4a, which is scheduled to arrive in the Spring to replace the well-received Pixel 3a. Renders of the device shows a smartphone with a punch hole cut-out for the selfie camera up front, a square pod on the back for a single camera, and a center-mounted optical fingerprint sensor. Today, new information is coming to light regarding the Pixel 4a family, and it will apparently be available in two variants. The Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL were two of the surprise smartphone hits of the 2019, taking much of the design (and camera) prowess of the Pixel 3, but wrapping it in a plastic body with a mid-range CPU at a much lower price. Given that not everyone needs flagship-caliber hardware (or the price tag that is associated with it), the smartphones became hot sellers. Google is looking to follow-up on that Pixel 3a success with the Pixel 4a, and the first alleged renders of the smartphone have been revealed.
