Toshiba XG6 NVMe SSD Review: BiCS Flash Puts Up 3GB/Sec Performance

Toshiba XG6 NVMe M.2 SSD: CrystalDiskMark X64 Tests

CrystalDiskMark is a synthetic benchmark that tests both sequential and random small and mid-sized file transfers using incompressible data. It provides a quick look at best and worst case scenarios with regard to SSD performance, best case being larger sequential transfers and worse case being small, random transfers.

The Toshiba XG6 offered the best sequential write performance in CrystalDiskMark and sequential reads were strong as well. In the various 4K transfer tests available in this benchmark, as we've seen in many of the other benchmarks, the XG6 lands right about in the middle of the pack.
