Taking
the processing and bandwidth requirements to the
next level, we have our Content

Again,
the Soyo board comes out on top by the smallest of
margins.
For a
more specific breakdown of the performance of the
motherboard's sub-systems, we ran SiSoft's Sandra
at both the default and overclocked speeds of
750MHz and 1.064GHz respectively.

Across
the board we see great numbers posted by the
SY-K7ADA. The overclocked memory performance
is top notch, slightly bested only by the AMD760
reference system and the much more expensive
Pentium 4 with RDRAM.
We
would quickly like to mention that we tested the
on-board sound and found it to be adequate.
The quality was on-par with most other integrated
solutions. Any respecting power-user should
opt to replace the on-board sound with a more
powerful PCI card though.
In
general we were pleased with the Soyo SY-K7ADA.
The board offers top-tier performance at an
affordable price (around $125 US). We were
disappointed with some aspects regarding the
layout and would have preferred multiplier and
voltage adjustments be available in the BIOS.
Regardless of our preferences with the layout
though, the K7ADA is nonetheless a quality product
and worthy of a place in some of your systems We give
the ALi MAGiK 1 based Soyo SY-K7ADA a HotHardware Heat Meter
