The SteelSeries Engine 3 software is your dashboard for creating custom lighting effects, macros, reprogramming keys, and creating shortcuts. It's pretty robust and even integrates lighting effects with in-game scenarios. Using what SteelSeries calls GameSense, the keyboard can react to in-game situations with special lighting effects, such as when you're getting low on health or ammo. It's basically eye candy and probably won't make you a better gamer, but it's rad nonetheless.
Be that as it may, you can upgrade the audio experience through the Nahimic Audio Enhancer software. There's also an EQ to fine tune the audio to your preference.
