The Aliens vs Predator benchmark makes use of the advanced Tessellation, screen space ambient occlusion and high-quality shadow features, available with DirectX 11. We kept things low-key in this benchmark run, dialing down the settings to Low and comparing 4xAA to 0xAA at a few resolutions.

This machine is't targeted at gamers, but it's got enough GPU horsepower and the features to run older titles. To smooth out frame rates, you'll probably have to dial the resolution and image quality settings down a bit, however.

The GeForce GT 840A falls somewhere in between the GT 640M and 630M here, but nearly doubles the performance of Intel's HD 4000 series graphics engine.

We were sans a power meter for this review, but we should mention that power consumption and heat shouldn't be an issue with the Lenovo B50. The B50 is a nearly silent machine. You won’t have to jack up the volume to drown out any fan noise and it doesn't pump out a ton of heat.
