All in one systems are all about balance.  Attempting to cram an entire PC’s worth of components into the back of what amounts to a slightly wider-than-normal display can be an iffy proposition. Pare down the specifications too much and you wind up with a limp machine that’s obsolete by the time you get it. Jam in too many high-performance components and the price skyrockets to a point that you wonder if a different form factor might have been a better option, not to mention the additional thermal and acoustic concerns. Lenovo’s B Series all in one systems are decidedly mid-range in both name and performance. You can opt for the low end in the C Series, which come with either a Celeron... Read more...

It feels like only yesterday that we evaluated the Asus 2400ET, a touch-enabled All-In-One desktop that had high-end specifications and a $1,250 price tag to match. Turns out, that was nearly four months ago, and if you aren't interested in a touch panel, a Core i5 processor, and don't have deep pockets, perhaps the scaled-back ET2011 we'll be showing you here is worth consideration. This is a somewhat unique product in the Asus Eee Top ET2011 AIO line up, in that in relies on AMD's Fusion Brazos E-350 APU in lieu of a more traditional desktop processor... Can you tell that companies are ramping up for the holidays yet? The flood of new machines has definitely begun, with Asus holding a mega media event last week, ViewSonic introducing the G Tablet and Samsung bringing the Galaxy Tab to all four major U.S. carriers. But today, Hewlett-Packard is stealing the show with a new array of machines that all look to take advantage of Windows 7 and touch. Let's get started with the big fella: the all new TouchSmart 310 all-in-one PC. This is HP's all-out assault on Apple's iMac, and the new 310 is looking sharper than ever. This one is a 20" machine, aimed at smaller bedrooms, college dorms, etc. It has a 1600x900 touch panel, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit... Read more...
Lenovo has been making a push in touch-enabled products as of late. A few months back, we tested one of the company's first touchscreen-enabled ThinkPad notebooks (and an IdeaPad, for that matter). Regardless, the company isn't exactly a household name when it comes to touch-enabled products, but with Windows 7's built in touch capabilities, the cost of entry is now lower perhaps, save for the cost of a touch-capable panel. The ThinkCentre M90z is Lenovo's newest 23" touch-enabled all-in-one PC, and it's going up against some stiff competition. HP's TouchSmart, Apple's iMac line, as well as a number of MSI units offer similar features at a similar price, and some might say with more modern looking,... Read more...

MSI has been on a roll lately with a near-endless amount of notebooks hitting the market, but the company has clearly taken a turn for the desktop world with their latest release. The Wind Top AE2280 is one of the more fully-featured all in one PCs coming out with now, with a Full HD (1080p) LCD, support for 3D gaming, a multi-touch screen, and THX TruStudio audio. The newest member of the Wind Top line has a 21.5" display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, ATI Radeon GPU, and options of Core i3 and Core i5 processors. Windows 7 is the OS onboard, and MSI has a small array of software and applications to take advantage of the touch panel. Not a bad arrangement for $949.99, particularly with a bundled... The Asus Eee Top ET2002 is an all-in-one desktop computer that provides the basics for everyday computing as well as multimedia entertainment in a space-saving design. It features a large, 20-inch 16:9 widescreen display and a 1.6GHz dual core Intel Atom 330 processor. Perhaps one of the coolest new features of the ET2002 is the fact that it is one of the first all-in-one computers from Asus to feature NVIDIA Ion integrated graphics for additional multimedia processing horsepower and perhaps even a bit of light gaming. While the basic components of the ET2002 aren't all that different from those found in your typical netbook, this computer is able to handle HD video and a few other higher-end... Read more...

If you're a PC maker, and you're not making any all-in-one PCs, you're clearly behind the times. Here lately, we've seen one after the other roll out from the likes of Dell, Asus and eMachines, and so it makes total sense to see yet another enter the ring courtesy of Averatec. The company's latest machine, which goes by D1005, is a 22" AIO computer designed by business or home users and college-bound students "who need a PC with full functionality while enjoying the benefits of a space-saving design."
