Digital Storm Bolt 3 SFF Gaming PC: A Compact Powerhouse
Bioshock Infinite Performance
|
BioShock Infinite presents some of the most evocative, intense, and gorgeous environments we've ever seen in a PC game — but how much you like it may
depend on what sort of visual wizardry you prefer. BioShock Infinite is built on Unreal Engine 3, and while it pushes that framework's capabilities into
the stratosphere, there's a clear difference between BioShock Infinite and, say, Crysis 3 or Metro Last Light. We tested the game at various resolutions with its DX11 code
path with DOF effects enabled.
Curiously enough, the Bolt 3 squeaks out a win over a Titan X-equipped PC on both our 2560x1600 benchmark and our 4K benchmark. Don't go out and get the champagne, though, as it's small enough of a difference that you're unlikely to even notice during normal gameplay. What's more important is that the Bolt 3 is totally playable at 4K on Ultra quality settings with an older title like this one. Given how pretty this game is though, that's a win in our book.
