The ZenPad S 8.0 leapfrogged every other mobile device we've tested to take the top spot in AnTuTu. We have to think that the 4GB of RAM in this slate is paying big dividends here, and of course it has a quad-core Intel Atom processor to boot. Intel's Atom does tend to show stronger in this test.

The MobileXPRT benchmark runs through a variety of tests to evaluate the responsiveness of a device along with its ability to handle many everyday workloads. Here the ZenPad S 8.0 slipped a few spots, though still was only one of half a dozen mobile devices to post an overall score of more than 300.

ASUS ZenPad S 8.0 Geekbench

In Geekbench, the ZenPad S 8.0 was rendered an "average" performer by settling into the middle of the pack. This is a bit more consistent with some of the earlier benchmarks we ran but still a very respectable showing.
