Now that we've put the ASUS ROG GL502VT-DH74 through our collection of synthetic benchmarks, it's time to switch focus to actual games. We'll kick things off with Batman: Arkham Origins and Bioshock Infinite.

Batman: Arkham Origins is a prequel to one of the earlier games that follows Batman as he develops his fighting techniques and persona as the Dark Knight. The game is built on a modified version of Epic’s Unreal Engine 3. We run the benchmark with high quality settings and FXAA.
The ROG Strix GL502VT-DH74 topped every other system running a GeForce GTX 970M GPU by averaging 110 frames per second and never dipping below 66 FPS. That shows there's plenty of GPU horsepower here to play games at the laptop's native resolution (1920x1080).

Also based on Epic’s Unreal Engine 3, BioShock Infinite takes you (as former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt) to the mysterious, flying city of Columbia. You find yourself helping Elizabeth, who soon turns out to have unusual powers. The game is an FPS, but the storyline is as compelling as the battles and Bioshock infinite has won awards and praise for its story and art design.
BioShock Infinite is a little more taxing that Batman Arkham Origins, though the ROG Strix GL502VT-DH74 still managed to average right around 70 FPS, performing about the same as the similarly equipped ROG GL752VT-DH72.
