We also use Serious Sam ? The Second Encounter for OpenGL testing, as it has more complex texturing and shading than Quake 3. The interesting thing about SS2, is that it automatically detects the video card, and then optimizes the game for that card?s strengths. This would affect the scores we got, so we leveled the playing field by using the Maximum Quality script before running the ?Little Trouble? demo.

Move over Dukey, the new Alien-bashing king has arrived

Both GF4 cards are neck and neck at 1280x768 and at this resolution we are more limited by the CPU then we are by the video card. The Ti 4600 does pull away by 10fps or so when we get to the higher resolutions. The Radeon is a steady 30fps behind in all tests.

Anti-Aliasing Tests:

The Ti 4600 overpowers the other two, and once again, benchmarks could not be obtained for the two cards due to the memory limitations. If you check the 4x chart closely, you will see that the GF4 card at 1600x1200 is actually faster than the Radeon at 1024x768.
