Viewsonic Announces Three New Monitors

Viewsonic has added three new monitors to its lineup. All the new screens are priced at under $349. New offerings include 19" and 22" in widescreen format, and a non-widescreen 19".

With a Dynamic Contrast ratio of up to 4000:1 (typ), the VX1940w and VX2240w provide many benefits such as enhanced light and dark images and reduced "light leakage" that improve performance up to four times greater than traditional contrast ratios. This combined with ClearMotiv® fast response time up to 2 ms and 300 nits of brightness (typ) creates ideal conditions for gamers, movie enthusiasts and graphic designers. Both models feature a 1680x1050 high resolution, which makes the VX1940w the first 19-inch widescreen display to offer high definition resolution.

The ViewSonic VX1932wm boasts a quick 2 ms response time, 1440x900, 300 nits of brightness (typ) and 2000:1 Dynamic Contrast ratio (typ) to deliver fluid, full-motion images and optimized video performance for a variety of applications. This widescreen display offers more screen real-estate, helping business users increase productivity by managing multiple documents at once and providing gamers with more room to roam their in-game surroundings.

I'm looking at this text I'm entering on a 22 inch Viewsonic I purchased by clicking on the Newegg ad you see on the page here at HotHardware. They're great monitors, and very inexpensive for the quality they deliver. And I stand by my earlier statement: The best computer upgrade is always a bigger screen.
