There's no question that Samsung's Galaxy series are among the most popular Android smartphones on the planet. The newest entries into the family -- the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ -- launched earlier the year and were most recently embiggened with larger storage capacities. Now, Samsung is adding a new color to the mix for those that haven't yet upgraded their smartphone: Sunrise Gold.

Sunrise Gold joins the existing range of colors that include Lilac Purple, Coral Blue and Midnight Black. The gold-tinged Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will still have an all-black front like the other colors offered.

It should be noted that if you have a hankering for gold, it will be an exclusive via Best Buy stores starting June 24th. The electronics giant will sell carrier-backed versions of the Sunrise Gold Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ for Verizon Wireless, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. Likewise, unlocked versions of the phone in Sunrise Gold will be available for purchase directly from Samsung.com, also starting on June 24th.

The smartphones will be offered in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB configurations priced at $719.99, $769.99 and $839.99 respectively for the Galaxy S9. Stepping up to the Galaxy S9+ will boost those prices to $839.99, $889.99 an $$959.99 respectively.

Samsung also points out that you can make a serious dent in those prices by trading in an eligible smartphone to receive up to $400 off from Samsung.com or up to $300 off via Best Buy.

In case you need a refresher, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ come with 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Displays, and are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor. The former has a single rear camera and 4GB of RAM while the latter ups the stakes with dual rear cameras and 6GB of RAM. You can read our review of the Galaxy S9+ right here.
