Minecraft Earth will allow players to make life-size creations and place them in the real world through augmented reality (AR). Players will be able to discover new mobs, collect resources, complete challenges, and fight off enemies. They will also be able to craft items with other Minecraft Earth players and share their creations through the game.

Minecraft Earth will be free to play and available on iOS and Android devices. The game will slowly be rolled out to different regions and will be available in all the same languages as regular Minecraft. Mojang, the developers behind Minecraft, have also emphasized that there will be no loot boxes. They have not specified whether there will be other kinds of in-game purchases.

Users who sign-up for the Minecraft Earth beta will also receive a free Earth skin that works with Minecraft Bedrock. The beta will be available some time this summer to a limited number of participants. You must be 18 years or older to join the beta, but players under the age of 18 will be allowed to play the full game with the permission of their parent or guardian.

Minecraft has traditionally attracted a younger crowd and consequently Mojang is very focused on player safety. They note that players and guardians will be able to change privacy and safety settings in the game. Minecraft Earth will also include a reporting system that can be accessed in the game or through their website. There will be a moderation team that will work 24/7 to process and manage the reports.

Mojang are also celebrating Minecraft’s tenth anniversary by launching Minecraft Classic. Players can launch the game in their web browser and enjoy the original interface, blocks, and even the bugs. Players can also invite up to nine friends into their world to craft and destroy together.

The original Minecraft was released on May 17, 2009. As of 2018, the game had over 74 million active players and sold over 144 million copies worldwide. The game has enjoyed a number of major updates, including the addition of underwater exploration. Although Mojang is still the developer behind Minecraft, the company was purchased by Microsoft in 2014 for $2.5 billion USD. The purchase has allowed Mojang to create other spin-off games like Minecraft: Story Mode, Minecraft: Education Edition, and Minecraft: Dungeons.
