Minecraft fans have a lot to look forward to starting next month. Early access for Minecraft Earth, the Minecraft AR game, launches in October. The devs recently gave up lots of details at Minecon Live about what gamers can expect in the coming months. But of course, the biggest thing from the event was the talk of Minecraft Earth incoming. Once early access is opened up, the devs say that they plan to have Minecraft Earth all over the globe by the end of 2019. Minecraft Earth has begun rolling out to Android devices as part of a closed beta period. So far, developer Mojang has flipped the switch in five cities, including Seattle, London, Tokyo, Stockholm, and Mexico City. More will be added, and if you want know when you can play on your handset, you need to head over to the Play Store and jot your name down. "Discover a new dimension of Minecraft as you create, explore, and survive in the real world. Fans of AR games like Pokemon Go have a new AR game entering beta to try out called Minecraft Earth. Microsoft began to talk up Minecraft Earth in May, and for those who liked what Microsoft was cooking up, the beta for the game is now available. The beta is closed, so only a limited number of participants can get in on the action. The closed beta registration page is here, and to be able to play, you need a smartphone that runs at least Android 7 or iOS 10.
