8Bitdo NES Classic Edition Bluetooth Adapter Lets You Use PS4 And Wii Wireless Controllers

8Bitdo has announced a new accessory for the red-hot gaming console that nobody can seem to get their hands on this holiday: the Nintendo NES Classic Edition. The company is marketing its NES30 Classic Edition Set, which adds wireless controller support to the retro console via Bluetooth.

The set comes with a Bluetooth adapter that plugs directly into the console, and includes the NES30, which is a wireless replica of the original NES controller. The NES30 is capable of providing you 30 hours of wireless gaming, which should be more than enough to handle your hardcore Super Mario Bros. gaming sessions. One added bonus with this particular controller is that pressing the Down and Select buttons simultaneously will bring up the NES Classic Edition’s Home screen, instead of forcing you to get up and press the Reset button on the console itself.

But where things get really interesting is with the Bluetooth adapter, which also supports modern wireless controllers like the Dual Shock 3, Dual Shock 4, Wii Remote and Wii U Pro. So, if you’re not exactly keen on playing your classic games with a hard rectangular-shaped object jabbing in to your palms, you can take full advantage of today’s more ergonomic controllers.

The 8Bitdo NES30 Classic Edition Set and Retro Receiver are currently available for pre-order from Amazon for $39.99, and shipments will commence on December 16th. If sales of the NES Classic Edition are any indication, we have the feeling that this accessory will be a hot item this holiday season right alongside the Nyko Miniboss for NES Classic Edition.
