Although Samsung's Galaxy S11 S20 family is set to debut sometime next month, that isn't stopping the South Korean electronics giant from delivering a pair of new smartphones as an outgrowth of its existing "10" families. While they've been long rumored, Samsung today officially announced both the Galaxy S10 Lite and the Galaxy Note 10 Lite. As the "Lite" name implies, Samsung is hoping to deliver premium features to customers at lower price points. In the case of the Galaxy S10 Lite, you'll find a still potent Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O Display (2400x1080), 128GB of internal storage and 6GB or 8GB of RAM depending on... Last week, we received some information on Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 10 Lite, and today, it's time to learn more about its Galaxy S10 Lite counterpart. It's rather interesting that Samsung would be launching new variants of its 2019 flagships so late in the families’ life cycle, but information on the smartphones is coming from reliable sources. The Galaxy S10 Lite, according to WinFuture, is said to feature a 6.7-inch display with a resolution of 2400x1080. This is definitely one of the "Lite" aspects of the device, as the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ feature 3040x1440 displays (measuring 6.1 inches and 6.4 inches respectively). We're also looking at an Infinity-O display... Read more...
Rumors of a Galaxy S10 Lite have persisted, even after Samsung unveiled a Galaxy S10e model (as shown above), which some of the pre-release leaks probably referred to. Will there actually be a Galaxy S10 Lite added to the lineup, though? An interesting benchmark entry over at Geekbench suggests it is a real possibility. The database entry shows "Samsung SM-G770F" as the model. Such a model does not officially exist, though recent rumors have pointed to there being a Galaxy S10 Lite in the works with that very same badge. Or it could emerge with a different name—either way, it seems more likely than ever that the Galaxy S10 family is about to grow a little bit bigger. For reference, here... Read more...
We have talked about plenty of rumors that focus on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphone family. The last rumor came only a few days ago when a leak exposed the triple rear camera array and punch hole displays. The fact that the S10 family will use an in-display fingerprint reader was confirmed via the Samsung Pay app. Now, a new Galaxy S10 rumor is making the rounds, and this one is specifically about pricing. An Italian website called TuttoAndroid has ferreted out a new leak about the top-of-the-line Galaxy S10 Plus version with 12GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage that claims that device will sell for €1,599, which is $1,817 when converted to U.S. currency. That would make... Read more...
Smartphone case makers are upping their game. Over on Twitter, there's a legitimate looking press render of what Samsung's unreleased Galaxy S10 Lite might look like, based on the case's dimensions. It's not clear what company built the case and conceived the render, but it's certainly a job well done, and potentially accurate. Image Source: Twitter via Ice Universe It was none other than Twitter user Ice Universe, a prominent leaker who is evidently plugged into the smartphone scene, who posted the image. "This is a conceptual design of the Galaxy S10 Lite from the phone case manufacturer," Ice Universe states. He doesn't mention the name of the case maker in his Twitter post, and scrolling... As you probably already know by now, Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S10 will be available in a number of configurations. At last count, there will be at least four variants, with a range-topping version including 5G support. However, at the bottom of the totem pole will allegedly be the Galaxy S10 Lite. Noted leaker Ice_Universe has posted what he claims to be a protective display film for the upcoming Galaxy S10 Lite.  Although it's hard to make out from image, if you look closely you can see a circular cutout for the front-facing camera. There's not much else that we can glean from the protective film other than that it looks like the Galaxy S10 Lite will have uniform bezels all around... Read more...
