It can be challenging to decide whether to purchase a new smartphone or wait until the next generation hits the market before spending your money. Anyone who needs a new smartphone now, and wants to save some cash at the same time should check out these exclusive deals that Microsoft is offering at its online store. The deals bring significant discounts on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ smartphones. Shoppers can purchase the Galaxy Note 10 packing its 6.3-inch screen and 256 GB of storage for $699.99. That is a discount of $250 off the normal retail price of the smartphone. The phone is available in black, white, and glow colors at the same price. Shoppers wanting a larger screen... Read more...
Samsung's Galaxy Note 10 flagship Android smartphone launched during the Summer of 2019, but the South Korean electronics giant is already looking to debut an update of sorts. We've been hearing rumors of the Galaxy Note 10 Lite for a few months, and recently we've been witness to leaked renders of the smartphone. Today, the device has been spied out in the real word, confirming many of the previously rumored details of the device. For starters, we see a single selfie camera embedded in the top-center of the Infinity-O display, and a screenshot of the "About Phone" page in Settings shows that the Galaxy Note 10 Lite carries the designation SM-N770F/DS. We also get a good glimpse at the standard... Read more...
If you see some random person out in public doing a happy dance, do not be alarmed—chances are they own a Galaxy Note 10 device and discovered they could download and install Android 10, with Samsung's One UI 2.0 on top. That's actually been an option for a bit, except now Samsung is pushing out a finalized (read: stable) build. Before you get too excited, there might still be a wait, depending on where you live. Apparently Samsung has started delivering the over-the-air (OTA) update to Galaxy Note 10 owners in Germany, and perhaps only to those who participated in the beta. This applies to both the regular version and the Galaxy Note 10+. Who knows, though—by the time you read this,... Read more...
Deals on Samsung's Galaxy family have been plentiful over the past week, and Amazon is running a very compelling deal today for Cyber Monday. The online retail giant is discounting its Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy Note 10, and Galaxy Note 10+ smartphones and throwing in a free set of AKG N700NC headphones. For example, the Galaxy S10 typically costs $899 unlocked for the 128GB SKU, while the AKG N700NC over-the-ear noise cancelling headphones currently sell for $349.95 on Amazon. However, with today's discounts, the total price for the bundle is just $698.99.  But that's not all; if you purchase the bundle with an Amazon credit card, you get the usual 5% cashback plus an additional... We are all waiting for Samsung to eventually unveil its next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S11, but that will not be for another few months. In the meantime, Samsung is introducing something a little different. It's a PC game streaming service for the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10 (initially) called GalaxyLink Play, which will also be made available to other Galaxy phones at a later date. From Samsung's vantage point, cloud gaming "has dominated the industry in 2019." I don't agree with that assessment, even when factoring in Google's recently launched Stadia platform, which has had its share of hiccups in the early going. Regardless, Samsung views GalaxyLink Play as a new service that goes... Read more...
In a galaxy far, far away, Samsung has switched on its lightsaber in a battle that pits good versus evil. Well, not quite... but Samsung has announced a new Star Wars Special Edition of its newly released Galaxy Note 10+ flagship smartphone, which will launch next month in select global markets. The smartphone is branded to coincide with the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which hits theaters in the United States on December 20th, 2019. The Star Wars Special Edition bundle comes in black with red accents; even the S-Pen is decked out in red, which is quite a nice touch in our not so humble opinion. Other details that set this Galaxy Note 10+ apart from "lesser" counterparts... Read more...
In mid-October, Samsung opened up beta access to Android 10 and its new One UI for Galaxy S10 owners, notice of which came by way of an official announcement. Now a month later, Samsung is doing the same for Galaxy Note 10+ owners, only without an official announcement (at least at the time of this writing). This was first brought to attention by XDA Developers forum member tlbland0426. The user noticed Samsung had started accepting registrations for the Android 10 beta in the Samsung Members app, on unlocked Galaxy Note 10+ models in the US (SM-N975UI). According to SamMobile, beta access is also available for regular Galaxy Note 10 owners (unlocked) in the US, not just the Galaxy Note 10+.... Read more...
It was discovered recently that a cheap screen protector was all that was needed to defeat the in-display fingerprint reader included on the Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphone family. Samsung has now announced that it is rolling out a fix for the device, at least initially, as a South Korea exclusive (its home market). But don't worry; Samsung has promised that it will soon be rolling the fix out globally. The Galaxy Note 10 also suffers from the same fingerprint scanner failure as the S10, which presents itself when a silicone screen protector is used that has a texture on the inside. The fingerprint scanner reads that texture as the fingerprint and unlocks the phone. The flaw surfaced last... Read more...
Google recently launched its Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, which are its two newest flagship Android smartphones. The Pixel 4 family brings a number of new features to the table including 90Hz displays, Face Unlock, and radar-driven motion/gesture sensing tech, but one of the most talked about features of any Google Pixel phone to date is its namesake, the camera. Or in the case of the Pixel 4, its cameras, plural. While our full review of the Pixel 4 XL will be forthcoming shortly, we thought that we'd give you a brief preview of what this new high-end smartphone has to offer with its new cameras. For the first time ever, the Pixel is offering two rear cameras: a 12.2MP primary sensor with an f/1.7... Read more...
Lest there be any doubt about the Android 10 One UI 2.0 beta landing on Galaxy Note 10 devices in the near future, including the Galaxy Note 10+ and Galaxy Note 10 5G, Samsung Korea confirmed it is "coming soon." This is actually the first time Samsung has come right out and said an Android 10 beta is bound specifically for the Galaxy Note 10+ and Galaxy 10 5G. Google released the initial shipping version of Android 10 (for Pixel phones) on September 3, but as is typically the case, it takes some for its hardware partners to adopt a major new build. As it pertains to Samsung, the company announced two weeks ago that it would also be arriving "soon" on its Galaxy S10 family, including the Galaxy... Read more...
Have you been eyeballing an upgrade to Samsung's Galaxy Note 10+ or Galaxy Note 10? If so, you may be interested to know about Microsoft's new trade-in promotion. Microsoft is offering up to $650 in trade-in credit towards a Galaxy Note 10+ or Galaxy Note 10, with the highest values being paid for a Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 9, or an iPhone X series handset. The maximum credit amount is even better than what Samsung offers through its own trade-in program, which is $600 off when upgrading from (and trading in) a Galaxy S10+. Samsung also has a spotty history with regards to its trade-in program, with some users venting on Twitter and Reddit about their experiences. There is a catch to Microsoft's... Read more...

Samsung's Galaxy Note series of large format Android smartphones has never been about compromise. The pen-wielding, hybrid devices have always been bigger, more powerful and more capable, with larger batteries and as many bells, whistles and features as Samsung could cram in. As such, Galaxy Note users generally hail from a power user demographic, oftentimes with enterprise and business use cases that require an expanded tool set. And so for this passionate following, it probably comes as no surprise that Samsung has once again upped the Note's game with the latest iteration, the Galaxy Note 10 series.   The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 now comes in two sizes, a more modest 6.3-inch Galaxy... While we can usually count on mobile SoC performance increasing year-over-year on the latest iPhones and Android-based smartphones, one thing that hasn’t seen a dramatic increase is battery life. While smartphone OEMs have been able to allow for super-long runtimes with massive lithium-ion batteries (like the gargantuan 5,000 mAh unit in the ASUS ZenFone 6), power density has pretty much stayed the same. That could change with a switch from lithium-ion battery technology to graphene, and Samsung is apparently leading the way. That news comes to us from gadget leaker Evan Blass, who claims that Samsung could release a Galaxy smartphone as soon as next year (but most likely in 2021)... Read more...
During yesterday's Samsung Unpacked event, the South Korean electronics maker briefly displayed a slide showing the two main versions of the Galaxy Note 10, and accompanying price points. As shown above, there are also 5G variants of both the Galaxy Note 10+ and, yes, the smaller Galaxy Note 10, though availability for the smaller model is limited. According to the slide, US pricing breaks down as follows... Galaxy Note 10: $949 and up Galaxy Note 10 5G: $1,049 and up Galaxy Note 10+: $1,099 and up Galaxy Note 10+ 5G: $1,299 and up However, even though Samsung displayed US pricing for all four SKUs, only three of them are available in the US. The smaller Galaxy Note 10 5G will only launch in... Read more...
Samsung Unpacked 2019 is here and the company has just unveiled the Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10+ and Galaxy Note 10+ 5G. The devices are intended to aid productivity, inspire creativity, and deliver on performance. All three devices were created in conjunction with both everyday consumers and those who use their devices on the job. All three devices will incorporate the popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor in the United States, shooting down rumors that we had heard to the contrary. Devices available for sale outside of the United States will feature Samsung's new 7nm Exynos 9825 SoC. The Galaxy Note 10 will include 8GB RAM with 256GB internal storage. The Galaxy Note 10+ and Note 10+... Read more...
Samsung is the world's leading producer of smartphones, as it maintains a narrow lead over competitors like Huawei and a more sizable advantage over Apple. As a company that is at the forefront of smartphone design and innovation, one that has a lot to lose with any missteps in the sector, recent comments by Samsung executives have caught our attention. Samsung mobile chief DJ Koh first lamented the failed launch of the Galaxy Fold, which the company billed as the "smartphone of tomorrow", stating, "It was embarrassing. I pushed it through before it was ready." But for a smartphone that is supposed to represent the future of mobile communications, it's a future that might not be long for... Read more...
Timing is everything, and with that in mind, it is certainly no coincidence that Samsung has unveiled its new Exynos 9825 chipset just ahead of the launch of its upcoming Galaxy Note 10 device. The upgraded system-on-chip (SoC) will undoubtedly find its way into Samsung's latest flagship handset, bringing with it a performance bump. The Exynos 9825 is Samsung's first slice of silicon to be manufactured using its 7-nanometer extreme ultraviolet (EUV) low power plus (LPP) lithography. Without taking a deep dive into semiconductor design and production, utilizing EUV wavelengths allows for printing smaller circuits. Samsung announced in October of last year that it had begun mass producing EVU-based... Read more...
Samsung is set to unveil its all-new Galaxy Note 10 flagship smartphone family at a Samsung Unpacked event on Wednesday, August 7th. Fortunately, we already know quite a bit about the smartphone so far, which means that this week's unveil is more of a formality at this point.  Processor Up until a few days ago, we were pretty certain about what would power the Galaxy Note 10; now we're not so sure. While we had originally expected that global versions of the smartphones would get the Samsung Exynos 9825 and U.S. phones would get some variant of the Snapdragon 855, Evan Blass threw a monkey wrench into the rumors late last week. According to Blass, while the global versions of the... Read more...
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ launch is just days away, which means that we're getting further refinements on information that has leaked over the past few months. It also means that reliable gadget leaker Evan Blass is providing some updated details on what his sources are whispering into his ear about the new phones. In this case, we're getting some rather surprising news on the SoC that will be powering the Galaxy Note 10 family. It was first rumored that the flagship smartphones destined for the U.S. market would be powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC, and then it was thought that the smartphones would use the newly released Snapdragon 855 Plus. Blass is now saying... Read more...
A new leak by Ice Universe is showing off what is claimed to be a rendering of the coming Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. The rendering highlights the thin bezels that Samsung has used on the device to give it a high screen-to-body ratio. The leaker claims that based on renderings, the side bezels are 1.5mm thick with a top bezel of 2.0mm, chin bezel of 3.7mm, and a hole in the screen for the front camera that is 4.2mm in diameter. The thin bezels all around give the Galaxy Note 10+ a screen-to-body ratio of 92.5%. The new renders aren't the only images we have seen of the Note 10 series of smartphones. What are thought to be official renderings of the Note 10 leaked earlier this month along with some... Read more...
