Lenovo has been making a push in touch-enabled products as of late. A few months back, we tested one of the company's first touchscreen-enabled ThinkPad notebooks (and an IdeaPad, for that matter). Regardless, the company isn't exactly a household name when it comes to touch-enabled products, but with Windows 7's built in touch capabilities, the cost of entry is now lower perhaps, save for the cost of a touch-capable panel. The ThinkCentre M90z is Lenovo's newest 23" touch-enabled all-in-one PC, and it's going up against some stiff competition. HP's TouchSmart, Apple's iMac line, as well as a number of MSI units offer similar features at a similar price, and some might say with more modern looking,... Read more...

Look at HP, growing up on us so fast. Buying up other companies at will, toting around the "world's largest PC seller" crown, and now introducing their very first enterprise class all-in-one PC. Believe it or not, we aren't kidding: the HP Compaq 6000 Pro really is the company's first all-in-one PC to go enterprise, which is sort of amazing given the company's long-standing presence in the enterprise space. Designed first and foremost as a "business PC" the HP Compaq 6000 still has features that enable it to play back HD multi-media, and IT admins will love the one-cord design that cuts down on clutter. It's equipped with a Core 2 Duo processor, Windows 7 Professional (32 or 64 bit), up to 8GB... Read more...

MSI has been producing all-in-one desktops for awhile now, including a few models with full 1080p touch panels. But with 3D seemingly taking over the world, the company needed to make a move in that direction in order to stay on the bandwagon. Today, the world's first multi-touch 24" Full HD 3D all-in-one PC is being introduced, with the Wind Top AE2420 3D bringing 3D into an otherwise familiar fold. Users will be able to watch 3D content on the machine via Shutter Glasses (included), and we're told that the whole family can gather around if they also purchase their own glasses. Of course, this also enables users to game in 3D, so that copy of Avatar you've been sitting on could come to life... Read more...

Just about the entire consumer lineup is being refreshed, including a revamped version of the Z-Series, U-Series, IdeaCentre all-in-one and the H-Series of low-cost all-in-one PCs. The Z-Series kicks things off, with these bargian-priced multi-media notebooks (Z360, Z560 and Z565) bringing a nice balance of power, size and value. The machines come with a 13.3" or 15.6" display, an optional Blu-ray drive, Intel's new Core 2010 processors, and NVIDIA's GeForce graphics. The units can be attached to the back of any LCD to create an All-in-One PC. Sony's VAIO PC lineup has been growing larger over the years, and while the standout products are almost always within the notebook category, the newest is an all-in-one PC. A stylish all-in-one PC, might we add. The VAIO L Touch HD PC/TV is obviously designed to be multifaceted. On one hand, it's a standard touch-screen PC; on the other, it's an HDTV. Granted, it's probably only suited for bedroom use at 24", but with a 1080p native resolution, even Blu-ray Discs can be played back as the director intended. The 1920x1080 panel comes standard, but the BD optical drive is an upgrade. Users hoping to use their new rig as a full-on HTPC can also snag a built-in TV tuner, which captures ATSC (digital)... We have to confess--Acer's latest all-in-one PC certainly looks a lot like another of its machines announced back in April. But we suppose there are enough differences here to warrant a slightly new model name and a marketing approach aimed at business users. The company's Veriton Z280G is its second Veriton in the past week, though this one actually includes an LCD with the innards that make a PC tick. The AIO machine boasts an 18.5" widescreen display, an Intel Atom ultra-low-voltage CPU, a fanless design, Energy Star compliance, a 1366x768 resolution, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, a multi-format card reader, 160GB hard drive, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, a Super-Multi DVD writer, integrated speakers, a matching... Advanced Micro Device's 'Neo' platform landed with a bang earlier this year, with a promise to counter Intel's Atom and even rival NVIDIA's own Ion platform. Turns out, most of that was just talk--or, at least that's how things look from the outside looking in. Since the dawn of 2009, we've seen countless netbooks and even notebooks arrive with Intel's Atom processor, but we've only seen a few counterparts with AMD's Neo tucked inside. In fact, HP's Pavilion dvz2 is the platform's flagship product, and needless to say, that device is less than mainstream in the grand scheme of things. Rather than trying to fight the giant that is Intel at a game that it has already won, it seems that AMD may be... Read more...
If you're a PC maker, and you're not making any all-in-one PCs, you're clearly behind the times. Here lately, we've seen one after the other roll out from the likes of Dell, Asus and eMachines, and so it makes total sense to see yet another enter the ring courtesy of Averatec. The company's latest machine, which goes by D1005, is a 22" AIO computer designed by business or home users and college-bound students "who need a PC with full functionality while enjoying the benefits of a space-saving design." Unlike many AIOs that are largely underpowered Web surfing terminals, this rig is actually equipped with a modest amount of power.Specs wise, we're looking at a 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo E5200 processor,... The Lenovo IdeaCentre A600 is an all-in-one desktop with plenty of features and bells-and-whistles to keep all but the most jaded of users happy. Perhaps taking a page out of Apple's book, Lenovo put a lot of effort into the look and feel of the A600, with its black-colored chassis, borderless 21.5-inch 1920x1080 TFT display, curved back, and svelte form factor--measuring only 1-inch thick at its thinnest point. The A600 Series comes in a variety of configurations, which range in price from $679 to $1,399.The unit we looked at--the A600-30114BU--is at the top of the A600's food chain and comes with an impressive specification list that includes a 2.13GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB of 1066MHz... It took awhile, but MSI has finally come clean with a ship date and price for its iMac-like Wind Top AE1900 all-in-one PC. The machine, which packs an 18.5" panel that's completely touch-friendly, is making its way out onto the US market as you read this, with pricing for the base model set at just $529.Unlike HP's pricey TouchSmart, MSI's obviously looking to get touchscreens into homes with a more limited budget, and it doesn't skimp too heavily on internal components in order to do so. Within, you'll find an Atom 230 processor (or an Atom 330 in the beefed-up edition), a 2.5" SATA hard drive, four USB ports, a 4-in-1 card reader, SRS premium sound and the company's own Wind Touch user interface... Make no mistake about it -- Acer came out swinging this week. Between the AspireRevo, its new Timeline series of notebooks and these two all-in-ones, we're wondering what the company has left in store for the rest of 2009. The latest newcomers to emerge from Acer are the Aspire Z5600 all-in-one PC and the all-white eMachines EZ1600, both of which we'll describe in detail below.Starting with the former, you'll find a gorgeous silver chassis, a 24" multi-touch panel and loads of multimedia capabilities. Designed specifically to handle the forthcoming media prowess of Windows 7, this machine promises full touchscreen support at a price the people can afford -- of course, we're not actually told...
