CrystalDiskMark is a synthetic benchmark
that tests both sequential and random small and mid-sized file transfers using incompressible data. It provides a quick look at best and worst case scenarios with regard to SSD
performance, best case being larger sequential transfers and worse case being small, random transfers.

Once again, the Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus drives put up strong, class-leading read numbers relatively to the original EVOs and the 970 Pro
with the various transfers and at both low and high queue depths. 4K Q1T1 tests shows the Samsung drives offering particularly strong writes, with competitive reads, but they also ultimately trail some of the other drives.
