Purchase 'Xbox One Halo: The Master Chief' Bundle At Best Buy And Receive Free Lumia 635

Microsoft is really trying to amp up Windows Phone sales, especially at the low end. Microsoft’s global smartphone market share is in the low single digits, and it has countered by offering phones like the Lumia 520 and Lumia 635 for as low as $20 and $30 off-contract respectively to trigger demand.

Microsoft is trying yet another promotion to get its smartphones into the hands of consumers, this time via a promotion involving the Xbox One gaming console. Customers that purchase the Xbox One Halo: The Master Chief bundle at Best Buy for $349.99 will receive a Lumia 635 smartphone free of charge. The Lumia 635 has an MSRP of $100 and sells currently for $49 on Amazon. Given its recent low price point, you’re basically getting a $30 smartphone for free.

This promotion isn’t quite the smoking deal as Amazon’s promo from February that gave customers an extra wireless controller and three games, but it’s still a solid effort. And the Lumia 635 would give you easy access to testing out Windows 10 on a smartphone platform before its official release this summer.

The Lumia 635 comes with a 4.5-inch (480x854) display, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 512MB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and a microSD slot. Other features include a 5MP rear camera (a front-facing camera is not included), an 1830 mAh battery, and LTE support.
