Origin PC EVO15-S Gaming Notebook Flaunts VR-Ready Status With GTX 1060 Muscle
Such is the case with Origin PC’s EVO15-S, which is a 15-inch class gaming notebook measures just 0.69-inches thick and weighs just under four pounds (3.96-pounds to be exact). Mobile gamers will be greeted with a 15.6-inch 1920x1080 IPS anti-glare display, that is powered by an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 GPU (6GB). The onboard GTX 1060 also means that the EVO15-S is VR-ready, capable of taking on virtual reality headsets like the HTC Vive, if you so choose. Taking over processing duties is an Intel Core i7-6700HQ Skylake processor paired with 16GB of DDR4-2400 memory (2x 8GB).
The storage subsystem is served by a 256GB NVMe PCI-E SSD paired with a 2TB HDD for additional storage. Other features include Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260, Bluetooth 4.2, Sound Blaster Cinema 3 audio, three USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, and one USB-C port.
"Our new EVO15-S changes the landscape of what’s possible with a high-performance thin and light laptop.” said Origin PC CEO Kevin Wasielewski. “With desktop-class graphics that can handle any VR headset and at just over a half-inch thick, the new EVO15-S is the thinnest and lightest true gaming laptop I’ve ever seen.”
If you want a custom design or laser etching for your EVO15-S, Origin PC will gladly oblige (if you fork over some extra money, of course). The Origin PC EVO15-S is available to purchase today with a starting price of $2,083.
