If you’re an HTC One (M8) owner, you will soon be receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop. Back in early November, HTC promised that both the One (M7) and One (M8) would be updated within 90 days in the following tweet:
We are now getting confirmation that the Lollipop release for the One (M8) — internal build 4.16.401.x — will be completed within the next one to two weeks. The person responsible for leaking this information, a developer that goes by the name LlabTooFeR, has an excellent track record in regards to HTC information according to Phone Arena.
But we must issue a word of caution here — just because HTC is near completion of its Lollipop build doesn’t necessarily mean that all One (M8) smartphones will be updated before the self-imposed 90-day window ends. Wireless carriers will still have to get their hands on the build so they can make their own tweaks and
bloatware software additions.
