Here's How To Join The Red Dead Online Beta This Week
Luckily, Rockstar is opening up a beta for Read Dead Online starting this week, and you'll be able to join in on all of the fun with players across the globe. According to Rockstar, Red Dead Online was built from the ground up to take advantage of the current generation of gaming consoles -- namely the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 families.
The first window of opportunity to test the Red Dead Online beta will be tomorrow (for those that purchased the Ultimate Edition). Here's how the rollout will be staggered:
Tuesday, November 27th: All Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition owners.
Wednesday, November 28th: All players who played Red Dead Redemption 2 on October 26th
Thursday, November 29th: All players who played Red Dead Redemption 2 between October 26thto October 29th
Friday, November 30th: All players who own Red Dead Redemption 2
When your "window" opens, you will see a new "Online" option at the top right of the title menu. As for what awaits when you login to the Red Dead Online experience, Rockstar writes:
Explore the world solo or with friends. Form or join a Posse to ride with up to seven players; gather around the fire at your Camp; head out hunting or fishing; visit bustling towns; battle enemy gangs and attack their hideouts; hunt for treasure; take on missions and interact with familiar characters from across the five states; or fight against other outlaws in both spontaneous skirmishes and pitched set-piece battles; compete with other players or whole Posses in open world challenges and much more.
Gamers will be able to customize their character and abilities as they ride off into the sunset seeking new challenges along the way. Rockstar also notes that it will continue to spill the beans on Red Dead Online tomorrow with details on new gaming modes and gameplay options.
