Destiny 2’s Raid And Trials Get A Release Date For Xbox One and PlayStation 4

Having wrapped up the Destiny 2 beta on PC yesterday, which Bungie called a "huge success," the developer decided it was time to talk about dates for the upcoming game's Endgame content. Bungie also confirmed that its servers will go live around the world starting at midnight on September 6, 2017. In anticipation of the launch, PlayStation 4 players who pre-ordered Destiny 2 can start pre-loading the game to their consoles right now.

"After launch, there will be a few rituals and firsts that you might want to plan for as you ascend to orbit around the Destiny Endgame. Some of these activities will be ready and waiting as soon as you play your way through to them. Others will go live shortly thereafter, giving you and your teammates time to prepare to get geared up and ready to go," Bungie stated in its final blog post before the game goes live.

Loadouts will be also be locked during Nightfall strikes—players will have to decide ahead of time what weapons and subclass to take into the Nightfall while in orbit.

A week later is when the Raid and Trials will be begin, starting with the Leviathan Raid kicking off at 10 AM Pacific (1 PM Eastern) on September 13, and Trials at the same time two days later on September 15. Beyond the dates, Bungie was not willing to divulge any other details.

"If you have witnessed the race to become the first to topple the final boss, you know we keep Raid info well under wraps. These are your moments to discover—your mysteries to solve. We’ve given you the when. You will soon discover the who, the what, and the where. Together, as a team, you might even discover the how. We'll be watching!," Bungie said.
