Best Buy To Offer Google's Premium Pixelbook For A Big Black Friday Discount
We've talked a lot about Black Friday deals around here over the last few weeks as people around the world gear up for the holiday shopping season. We've already talked about a lot of Best Buy Black Friday deals but another smoking-hot deal we didn't know about the first time around has turned up. If you want a Chromebook, but you want a high-end premium Chromebook rather than the basic, lower-cost models out there on the market, Best Buy has a very good deal on the super-premium Google Pixelbook.
Best Buy will be offering $300 off the Pixelbook base until bringing the price of the machine from $999 to $699. The only potential caveat to this Black Friday special is that the $300 off only counts on the base configuration. Regardless, with the high-end units running all the way up to over $1,600, a lot of potential buyers are likely eyeing the base unit anyway.
The base configuration for the Pixelbook is still high-end compared to some other Chromebooks on the market today. The base configuration has a 7th gen Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Other specs include a 12.3-inch 2400x1600 display with Gorilla Glass covering, backlit keyboard, TPM chip for security, built-in webcam, dual USB-C ports, and 10-hours of runtime per charge.
At $699 this is one of the best deals since the Pixelbook launched last year. Word is that the purchase of the machine also includes three months of YouTube TV at no cost. Rumors have been swirling that a next-gen Pixelbook is in the works at Google, making Black Friday a good time to get rid of older inventory. Best Buy's flyer showing the deal can be found here.
