We’ve already discussed the impending HTC M8 (One), or One M8, or whatever the final official name will be, but Rightware has shared the new handset’s benchmark results from its Basemark and BrowserMark tests. The HTC One M8 beat out the Nokia Lumia 1520 to take the top spot in gaming performance, topping the field in the Basemark OS II and Basemark X tests, making it also the top phone overall according to Rightware. The HTC One M8 wasn’t quite as hot in the BrowserMark web browsing test (finishing 7th), nor the Basemark GUI test. Still, the quad-core Snapdragon 801 (2.3GHz) Krait 400 SoC with Adreno 330 GPU powered the HTC One M8 to a strong showing overall--which reportedly... Read more...
HTC is expected to unveil its new One (not to be confused with the current HTC One) smartphone during a press event in New York City tomorrow, which just might be one of the worst kept secrets on the web. That's because the One (codenamed M8) has been the subject of numerous rumors, speculations, and leaks, the newest of which is a 15-minute YouTube video with around 14 minutes of footage showing a gray colored version. According to TechCrunch, other color options could include gold, silver, and black. The gray version shown in the video sports a brushed stainless finish that looks rather attractive for a phone. HTC appears to have gone the extra mile this time around by adding metal edges and... Read more...

Good morning and happy Friday to you.  The hardware news front is a little quiet today, but we pulled together a few items worth the read.  Check out two flavors of Mushkin RAM, then wrap it up with a new monitor from Creative that is worthy of your attention.   Mushkin PC2-4200 DDR2 Low Latency Kit @ Viper Lair: "We were quite pleased with Mushkin's PC2-4200 3-2-2-8 as it performed reliably and was quick as well. We did hit some hurdles in overclocking past DDR2-667, but in that case you would be better served by their PC2-5300 kit. Other than that, Mushkin doesn't package the bling such as flashing LEDs, but in turn their ram modules are easier on the wallet." Mushkin... Read more...
Well I just finished HL2 a few hours ago. It's a great game with a questionable registration system(That's right folks, I'm talking about STEAM). After this post, I'll be off to record some time demos and then do some benchmarks. With the Doom3, Source, and Cry Engine available for developers, gamers will be in for a real treat in the next year or so! How to Get Deep Bass @ eCoustics.com "Retrieving real deep bass and reproducing it in your home theater or listening room at real-life levels is not easy. In fact, there are laws of physics that dictate how deep a subwoofer will extend its bass output, and as often as not some of these work against simple physical limitations of room size and... Hey there gang, welcome back!  Man, it has just been one of those stretches where nothing seems to be going right for me.  The last few weeks I've been dealing with an ailing pet, who is looking much better thankfully.  Now my neck has decided to give me a lesson in pain, to the point that I am looking at the world with a bit of a tilt.  I sure hope this goes away soon.  I kind of feel like Ed Sullivan right now.  So I guess I will be popping the Doan's Back Pills and hope for some relief.  While this did stop me in my tracks yesterday, it isn't stopping me from getting the news out to you!  Here's your latest dose for today...
