Tablets are a dime a dozen, and that has been the case for several years now. In an attempt to separate its Fire tablets from the pack, Amazon introduced a live support feature called Mayday nearly five years ago, with the now infamous Amazon 'Amy' starring in TV commercials and press images. We were tipped that Amazon would be introducing a $50 tablet earlier this month, but we were left to speculate as to how exactly the online retail giant would be able to hit that price point.
