Everyone knows when November rolls around that you should hold off on most electronics purchases until Black Friday to score huge discounts on the items you want. Costco's Black Friday ad leaked not long ago with lots of deals on notebook computers and tablets. Not to be outdone, rival wholesale club Sam's Club has revealed smoking good deals on electronics that won't require you to fight the Black Friday crowds. Sam's has a pre-Black Friday special that will be good for $300 off a Galaxy smartphone. This deal will kick off ahead of Black Friday with the caveat that it is a one-day deal only good on Saturday, November 10 online and in stores. On that date, you can roll into the local Sam's Club... Read more...
With October nearing its end and November just around the corner, that means everyone will be gearing up for the holidays. It also means that Black Friday is creeping up fast on those looking to score a deal. Retailers will be wasting no time and ads for this year's deals have already started to leak. Costco's Black Friday ad has turned up, and it looks like this year will be big for tech fans looking for new TVs, game consoles, laptops, and tablets for themselves or as Christmas gifts. One of the best deals Costco's ad has is on a Dell XPS 13 4K UHD touchscreen laptop with a $500 discount. That machine has an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. However, the... Read more...

We are almost to the end of yet another wonderfully innovative year in technology. The non-stop innovation of the tech sector has presented us with products and services that deliver more horsepower, lower power consumption, and smaller form factors that deliver more value and features. The tradition of Black Friday began with retail merchants feverishly working over the year to pull their bottom lines out of the "red", and utilizing the US Thanksgiving long holiday weekend to bolster sales and revenue back into the "black." For 65 years value-seeking consumers in the U.S. have been looking forward to today. While most Americans are recovering from excessive levels of tryptophan and... Read more...
Today is Black Friday and if you are braving the crowds looking for some smoking deals on tech products, you will want to check out Walmart. The retail giant has some smoking deals on various models of iPhones for Black Friday. The retailer is offering a whopping $300 gift card on iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones. Buy any of those devices for $0 down and get a $300 gift card that you can use in store. One potential catch for those iPhone deals... Read more...
You may have noticed, but the madness that is known as Black Friday has already begun. Sure, there will be "door buster" deals later this week that require actually marching to a physical store location and fighting the crowd for what little stock is available on the most heavily discounted items, but there are plenty of deals to be had online, both now and later this week. Among them are several Internet connected devices from Google. If you're looking to outfit your home with a Google Assistant in every room, you will be able to score a nice discount on Google's Home Mini speaker later this week. While normally priced at $49, Google is marking down its Home Mini to $29, which is nearly half... Read more...
Back in late October, Amazon broke out its pricing gun and started slashing prices on AMD's Ryzen Threadripper processors. Threadripper is already an incredible value compared to rival Core X processors from Intel, so the discount (which amounted to $120 on the Threadripper 1950X) were just the icing on the cake. Well, Amazon is back with another round of discounts on the Threadripper family, and the deals are even better this time around. If you're looking for a HEDT processor with plenty of cores to keep your applications humming, it'll be hard to pass up these savings: Ryzen Threadripper 1950X ($999 MSRP) -- $799 Ryzen Threadripper 1920X ($799 MSRP) -- $549 Ryzen Threadripper 1900X ($549 MSRP)... Have you been contemplating a big screen TV upgrade? Generally speaking, the best deals are found twice a year—just prior to the Super Bowl, and during the Black Friday festivities that in recent years have been extended well before the day after Thanksgiving. We now find ourselves in that moment where Black Friday deals are starting to appear, and there are lots of deals on TVs out there. Among them are discounts on LG's awesome organic light emitting diode (OLED) TVs, which are widely considered some of the best looking TVs on the market. One of the big advantage of an OLED panel is that light can be emitted on a pixel-by-pixel basis. This allows for bright and vibrant pictures, with... Read more...
GameStop is the latest retailer to announce its list of Black Friday deals, and there are plenty of goodies to go around for console (and PC) lovers. In fact, GameStop's discounts are especially compelling when it comes to Sony hardware. Sony's PlayStation 4 Pro typically retails for $399, but GameStop will be selling the 4K console for $349.99. On top of that, you will receive a $50 GameStop gift card that can be used to purchase anything in the store (including new release titles that you might have your eyes on like Call of Duty: WWII). If you still want to stay within the Sony camp, but don't have a 4K-capable television to fully appreciate the benefits of the PlayStation 4 Pro, the standard... Read more...
Amazon is giving online shoppers a sneak peek at its upcoming Black Friday deals, and not a moment too soon. How so? The world's largest online retailer will also extend its deal period through Cyber Monday and beyond, with an entire month of discounts. "Customers can expect to find incredible deals across a wide selection of top holiday products throughout the duration of the 'Turkey 5'—those five popular shopping days... Read more...
Over the past week, many of the country's leading retailers have unveiled their tantalizing Black Friday deals. We've seen ads from Best Buy, Target, and Walmart among others. Hardware companies are also getting in on the festivities as well; the latest of which is Microsoft. The company just posted its Black Friday ad, and there are quite a few gems in there for gamers and productivity fiends alike. On the gaming front, Microsoft will discount the Xbox One S 500GB console to just $189 (a price matched by a few other retailers for Black Friday). However, Microsoft is sweetening the deal by giving you a choice of a free game and a one-month trial for Xbox Game Pass. If 500GB is simply too little... Read more...
Tis the season to be jolly, and who wouldn't be cheerful after scoring a high-tech item at a deep discount? That might not be what the holidays are all about, but being able to upgrade your gear without paying full price sure is a nice bonus to go on top of the usual late-year festivities. It starts with Black Friday, of course. Adding to the early hype of the busiest shopping day of the year, Sony and Newegg have joined a growing number of manufacturers and retailers that have released Black Friday ads ahead of the big event. Sony Starting with Sony, the PlayStation maker is eager to get a jump start on the deals. "To get in the holiday spirit, we’ve got some amazing Black Friday deals... Read more...
The Black Friday ads keep rolling in, giving you plenty of time to formulate a shopping strategy. One of the newest ads to land is from Walmart. The massive retail chain will have discounts on a wide assortment of items, including some nice deals on 4K resolution televisions, and game consoles such as Microsoft's Xbox One S and Sony's PlayStation 4. Sadly, Nintendo's Switch will not be marked down, but it will be in stock, at least initially. If you're after a 4K TV, one of the better deals is a Sharp 55-inch 4K Smart TV (LC-55P6000U) with high dynamic range (HDR) support for just $298. Many of the juiciest deals on Black Friday are often deeply discounted technology products, making Best Buy a seemingly obviously destination for anyone trying to score a deal. But will the electronics chain live up to expectations? It very well may—Best Buy's Black Friday advertisement lists some enticing deals, including $300 off any of Samsung's flagship Galaxy phones, those being the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, and Galaxy Note 8. The discount requires "qualified activation" with a wireless carrier. Best Buy specifically lists Verizon and Sprint on its advertisement, so it looks like AT&T and T-Mobile customers will have to look elsewhere for a deal, though that is not entirely clear... We are getting to the part of the year where it is increasingly difficult to stay attached to your money. Tantalizing savings on electronics (and all kinds of other items) are a staple of Black Friday, and before you have a chance to come up for air, Cyber Monday hits. Several retailers have already released Black Friday ads, including Target, Walmart, and Kohl's, to name a few. But it is not just retailers getting in on the shopping frenzy, so are manufacturers. Dell recently tipped its deals, and now Samsung is following suit. Samsung is doing things a bit differently than everyone else. Rather than limit its deals to a couple of shopping days in November, it will be offering discounts throughout... Read more...
More Black Friday ads continue to roll in ahead of time, giving shoppers a chance to plan out a strategy to nab the best deals. The latest Black Friday ad to emerge is from Target. It is a whopping 40-page flyer filled with discounted items across a wide range of categories, everything from game systems and large screen televisions, to clothes and bedding. Among the more interesting deals is an Xbox One S for $165, if you factor in the $25 gift card that comes with it. This is the time of year when families and friends get together to feast on turkey and fixings, and score deals in technology (and other categories). We are exactly three weeks away from the madness that is known as Black Friday, and retailers have started posting ads outlining upcoming bargains. Two of the newest ads are from Walmart and Costco, both of which will have several deals on Xbox One S and PlayStation 4 systems. Walmart Starting with Walmart, flipping through the flyer we see a PlayStation 4 Slim bundle with a 500GB of storage and Uncharted 4 for $249. It also comes with a $30 gift card. Not too shabby. Walmart will also have several games marked down to $27 each, compared to their... Read more...
Are you need of a technology upgrade? Well, good news—Black Friday and Cyber Monday are right around the corner, which means there will be plenty of bargains to had. In anticipation of these upcoming events, Dell announced a bunch of Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals that it has on tap, and among them is an Inspiron 14 laptop for $130, marked down from $250. Remember when low powered netbooks were a thing? The discounted price for the Inspiron 14 is lower than even those systems went for. Granted, this is not a screaming machine we are talking about, but for basic computing chores, it will get the job done. It is basically a modern version of a netbook, only bigger, and equipped with... Read more...
The biggest shopping day of the year is nearly upon us. We are of course talking about Black Friday, the annual shopping bonanza where stores lure hordes of eager customers with deep discounts. Surprisingly enough, some of the best deals in tech might be found at Kohl's. A leaked flyer outlining so-called doorbuster deals has found its way to the web, and if you are looking to score an Xbox One S or PlayStation 4 console at a tantalizing price, Kohl's could be your best bet. The leaked ad first appeared on BlackFriday.com but has since been removed. It does not matter, because as we have said a million times before, there are no mulligans when it comes to the web. So, what nifty deals does Kohl's... Read more...
Turkey massacre day is right around the corner. So is Black Friday, the annual shopping bonanza that turns otherwise well behaving citizens into rabid beasts with an insatiable thirst for savings and a total disregard for their fellow man, woman, or child. The frenzy will continue to some extent throughout the holiday shopping season, though Google is doing its part to make things a little less hectic by providing data of how crowded a particular place is at any given point in time. This is a real-time upgrade to Google's Popular Times feature introduced to Google Search and Maps last year. Popular Times has been helping shoppers and people who like to go out to eat by showing how busy a place... Read more...
