April Fools’ Day is here and this year we could all especially use a laugh. Some companies like Google are not participating in April Fools’ Day, but there are still plenty of pranks to be found in video games. Here are some of the best 2020 April Fools’ Day tricks that are floating around a few of our favorite video games. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Infinity Ward just released two new playlists that involve the map “Shipment”. Shipment is one of the most popular and one of smallest maps in the game. T-Mobile has announced something, and it's anyone's guess if it's an elaborate April Fool's prank kicking off a bit early or if it's just a hardcore troll of AT&T's 5G E service. At any rate, it's natural to be dubious of this but the T-Mobile Phone BoothE is also sort of plausible so here is what T-Mobile has to say about it. The T-Mobile Phone BoothE is "the next evolution in telecom" and will launch in New York City, Washington D.C., and in Seattle with more locations to come. The GPU maker today introduced the 3dfx Voodoo 590, saying "a group of ex-3dfx veterans at Nvidia have been leading a secret double life...working on a revolutionary graphics card based on 3dfx technology." If you're an old school PC gamer, you're thinking this is too good to be true, right? Sadly, you're correct. Today is April 1, 2011, otherwise known as April Fool's Day, and in the technology industry, that means you need to be on the lookout for goofy press releases and bogus announcements. This is one of them, no matter how much we wish it were true, but let's play along for a moment anyway. "We named it the 590 because it matches... Read more...
