We also ran a hard drive benchmark comparing the speed of a Western Digital Raptor hard drive on the Abit motherboard's native nVidia SATA-II/300 and the Silicon Image 3132 SATA-II/300 RAID controllers. Our Asus boards, also on the native nVidia SATA-II/300, score right on par with out Abit platform. The Silicon Image SATA controller showed a slight decrease in Burst Transfer Speed, but was identical in the long-run (Sustained).
