Microsoft Unveils Xbox One X PUBG And Xbox One S Minecraft Special Editions

Microsoft has announced the launch of a pair of special edition console bundles to celebrate two very popular video games. The first is the Xbox One X PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Bundle. Microsoft says that the console celebrates the over 8 million players for PUBG since the game debuted as an exclusive for consoles in the Xbox Game Preview program.

This bundle includes an Xbox One X with a 1TB HDD, Xbox wireless controller, full download of the PUBG game that is enhanced for the Xbox One X. The bundle also includes a month-long Xbox Game Pass trial and a one month trial of the Xbox Live Gold game service. The Xbox One X PUBG bundle will land later this week for $499 at most major retailers worldwide. This appears to be a standard black console.

The second console is an Xbox One S Minecraft bundle. This console comes with the console and the full download of Minecraft featuring the new Update Aquatic and the Explorers Pack. Also included is season one of the Minecraft: Story Mode-The Complete Adventure. A full month-long Xbox Game Pass trial is included along with a 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial.

The Xbox One S Minecraft Bundle starts shipping today at $299 via select retailers in some regions. In the U.S. the Minecraft bundle is exclusive to the Microsoft Store and Walmart. Both consoles will support 4K UHD Blu-ray playback and support Dolby Atmos sound. Minecraft is one of the biggest games in the world with the game having topped 74 million active players and selling over 144 million copies since launch. PUBG is also a very popular game, though it has lost half its players to Fortnite so far this year.
