Verizon is piling on the discounts and even giving out freebies to customers, including up to $750 in discounts/credits and free Amazon hardware. The first part of the deal comes with a $200 prepaid Mastercard that is given to new customers that switch to a Verizon Unlimited plan with a new line of service when purchasing a Pixel 4 or Pixel 4 XL.
Once you checkout with your new smartphone and service, Verizon directs you to visit vzw.com/digitalrebatecenter, where you'll enter in the promo code "FALLSWITCH", without the quotes. According to Verizon, you'll receive your prepaid Mastercard within 8 weeks.
To sweeten the deal, if you trade-in a recent Samsung, Google, or Apple smartphone, you'll receive $550 in bill credits applied to your account over the span of 24 months (bringing the total discounts to $750). The phone must be traded in within 30 days of checkout. Samsung smartphones dating back to the Galaxy S8+/Galaxy Note8; Google smartphones dating back to the Pixel 2/Pixel 2XL; and Apple smartphones dating back to the iPhone 7/iPhone 7 Plus qualify for the full $550 credit.
The Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are both powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 SoC and include 6GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage standard. They also feature dual cameras on the back, Face Unlock (in place of the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner on previous generations), and Project Soli hardware to support hand gestures for controlling apps. The primary difference between the two comes down to screen size: the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL come with 5.7- and 6.3-inch displays respectively.
