T-Mobile To Unveil Un-carrier 8.0 Initiative Tomorrow

Wireless carriers in the United States are currently involved in an expansive pricing war that sees no signs of ending. From double-data promotions, to steep discounts on new smartphones, to lower pricing on family plans, wireless carriers are pulling out all the stops to compete for your business.

T-Mobile and its larger-than-life CEO John Legere relish the competitive landscape and arguably sparked the wars with the Un-carrier movement. Tomorrow, T-Mobile will reveal its Un-carrier 8.0 initiative which is likely to take more than a few swipes at America’s two largest wireless carriers: Verizon Wireless and AT&T.

The live webcast will be hosted by David Pogue (Yahoo Tech) and the will begin at 10:30am EST. Legere will be there — no doubt decked out in magenta — to headline the event and will answer questions live.

Un-carrier 7.0, which was announced back in September, brought Wi-Fi calling, a free T-Mobile Personal CellSpot for Simple Choice customers, and partnership with Gogo to provide unlimited texts, pictures messages, and visual voicemail in-flight.
