Sony PlayStation Network Flash Sale Offers Huge Savings On Tons Of PS4 And PS3 Games Now

PS Controller

If you have been thinking about getting a game console, now is the time to pull the trigger. There are multiple sales out there, the latest of which is a flash sale in the PlayStation Store with Sony marking down a whole bunch of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 games by up to 70 percent. And by "a whole bunch" we mean well over 100 titles available at massive discounts, along with a collection of movies in standard definition and high definition.

"Take a little trip to PS Store this weekend and set your peepers on discounted games like Overwatch Game of the Year Edition, Dragon Age: Inquisition Game of the Year Edition, Uncharted 4, and so much more!," Sony says.

Indeed, Sony is selling Overwatch GOTY in the PS Store for $30, down from $60, along with Dragon Age: Inquisition GOTY for $10 (down from $30) and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End for $20 instead of $40. Those are some tantalizing savings, though they are far from the only ones. Here's a look at a few more:
  • Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag: $9.89 (down from $30)
  • Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag Gold Edition: $16.49 (down from $50)
  • Battlefield 4 Premium Edition: $15 (down from $60)
  • Battlefield Hardline Ultimate Editition: $15 (down from $60)
  • Final Fantasy XV: $20 (down from $50)
  • Watch Dogs Gold Edition: $16.49 (down from $50)
That is just a small sampling. The flash sale runs through the weekend and ends on Monday, Februrary 19, at 8:00 AM Pacific (11:00AM Eastern). Hit the source link to see a full list of games and movies that are on sale, or fire up the PS Store on your console and start browsing.

In addition, here's a reminder that the PlayStation VR headset is going on sale starting Sunday, February 18. Sony is slashing the price of the standalone headset from $299.99 to $199.99, saving consumers a Benny. The same $100 discount is being applied to bundles as well—the PlayStation VR Doom VFR bundle will be reduced from $399.99 to $299.99, while the PlayStation VR Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim bundle will drop from $449.99 to $349.99.

If you are more interested in Microsoft's Xbox platform, don't fret, there are deals to be had there as well. As we reported earlier this week, Walmart is offering an Xbox One X bundle that comes with Destiny 2, Star Wars: Battlefront II, and Grand Theft Auto V for $499. That's what the Xbox One X normally sells for, only with this deal you're getting three free games. You can find that deal here.

Over at Rakuten (formerly, you can score a straight up discount on the Xbox One X. There is a coupon code on the product page that drops the price down to $440, versus the console's $499 MSRP, with free shipping. You also get a bit of in-store credit, albeit it's been reduced since yesterday from $51 to $5. Still, it's a solid discount, regardless of the in-store credit amount.

Or you could skip the console goodness and build yourself a cheap gaming PC based on one of AMD's new Raven Ridge APUs. Either way, game on, folks!
