Sony Celebrates Days Of Play 2019 With A Steel Black Limited-Edition PS4 Console

Every year Sony celebrates its Days of Play event and brings a new limited-edition game console to the mix. Last year the limited edition console was a slick blue machine. Days of Play is back for 2019, and Sony has a limited-edition console again for gamers to lust after.

This year the limited edition console is much more bland in appearance than the bright blue offering in 2018. Sony calls the 2019 PS4 Days of Play Limited Edition console Steel Black. It appears to be a satin finish gray-black console. It only comes in standard PS4 flavor, no PS4 Pro has been announced at this time.

In addition to the special color, the console also has the PlayStation Shapes embossed in silver on top of the console and ships with a matching Dualshock 4 controller. The console will launch on June 7 and will sell for $299.99 in the States.

Other Days of Play specials include a Jet Black 1TB PS4 Pro starting at $349.99. A PlayStation VR Bundle is available starting at $249.99. All colors of DualShock 4 wireless controllers start at $39.99. Game specials during the event include Days Gone, God of War, Marvel's Spider-Man, and MLB The Show 19 starting at $19.99. Sony also notes that there will be some catalog titles on sale, but says to check with local retailers for details on specific titles.

The $349 price on the PS4 Pro sounds excellent and puts it only $50 more expensive than the limited edition PS4.
