Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Tablet Lands At AT&T On September 4

In less than a week, you'll be able to waltz into an AT&T store and purchase a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 tablet, if that's what you're after. Unveiled back in July, the Galaxy Tab S2 is Samsung's newest generation Android tablet with a slim and light profile. In fact, Samsung says the Galaxy Tab S2 boasts the thinnest and lightest metal frame of its size.

More specifically, the 9.7-inch tablet features a slender 5.6mm profile and checks in at just 389 grams. Compare those figures to Apple's iPad Air 2, which measures 6.1mm thick and weighs 437 grams. Granted, we're splitting hairs here, but as far as bragging rights go, they now belong to Samsung.

"The Galaxy Tab S2 is not only our thinnest and lightest tablet of its size ever, it also gives users quick, easy access to a wealth of superior viewing and productivity features," said JK Shin, CEO and President of IT & Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics. "We believe the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is the most complete personal visual device designed for consumers to carry and use anywhere."

Other features include a Super AMOLED display with a 2048x1536 (QXGA) resolution, octa-core Exynos 5433 SoC (quad 1.9GHz + quad 1.3GHz), 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage expandable via microSD, 2.1MP front camera, 8MP rear camera, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 BLE, various sensors (accelerometer, finger scanner, gyroscope, compass, hall sensor, and RGB sensor), LTE connectivity, 5,870 mAh battery, and Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Starting September 4, AT&T will sell the Galaxy Tab S2 with 32GB of internal storage and LTE connectivity for $500 with a two-year service contract, $600 outright, or $0 down and $30 per month for 20 months with an AT&T Tablet Installment plan.
