LL PC3200 Roundup, SilverStone Tj06 Case Review and More!
Hey everyone, it's been awhile since the last post, so I might as well unload the latest news. We have a roundup of low latency PC3200 ram, a SilverStone case review and a mod guide to turn your single layer burner into a dual layer burner! Check back later for the latest news :)
"We test a new batch of PC3200 and PC4400 rated memory from known and lesser known manufacteres on our Intel P4 test setup. With the introduction of Samsung?s TCCD revision F memory chips we might get performance only seen in the days of Winbond BH-5!"
"The SilverStone TJ06 Case has an extremely unique design. Unlike most cases where hardware installation is done through the left side, in this case it's on the right. Another distinctive feature is the large wind tunnel which quickly ports all the heated air from the memory and the CPU out of the case. Plenty of fans are included: two 120mm and one 80mm. Also, lots of drive bays: 5 x 5.25", 2 x 3.5" (ext) and 6 x 3.5" (int). The Watch the Video to find out more..."
"Today we set out on a fun little project. We decided to test a mod that was floating around on the net making your single-layer burner turn into a Dual-Layer (DL) burner! Is this really a free upgrade? We will find out..."
"Last week we reviewed Radian Heatsink's Crown Helix heatsink for the LGA 775 platform and came away totally impressed with the result we obtained. This week we are looking at their offering for Socket 478 - named Turbo Helix. Can it perform as well as its larger counterpart did? Only the review tests will tell."
"It's the features that drive this mainboard more than anything. The use of the 250Gb nForce3 variant, bringing with it GigE and those highly useful hardware firewall features for the home user, combined with plenty of USB2.0, FireWire400 and six SATA ports, means that ASUS push almost all the right buttons. Eight channel audio rounds things off."
