Amazon Discounts LG G6 And G6 Plus With Ad-Supported Prime Exclusive Phones Promo

Amazon launched its Prime Exclusive Phones program for people who dislike smartphone contracts and prefer to buy a device outright, unlocked for a reduced price. In the past, Blu has been on that program and was booted from Amazon due to spyware concerns, only to return shortly after. Buyers can now choose from several LG smartphones via the Prime Exclusive Phones program.

The phones available include the LG X charge with its massive 4500 mAh internal battery and fast charging support. The phone boasts a 5.5-inch HD display, 5MP front camera, and a 13MP rear camera with HDR. The device runs Android Nougat 7.1 for the OS and will sell for $149.99 for Prime members willing to look at lock screens ads, and Amazon apps/services littered throughout the Android UI. The regular price for the smartphone is $199.99.

It also has a dual 13MP camera with 125-degree wide-angle lens and LED flash. The front camera is a 5MP unit with 100-degree wide-angle lens. The smartphone is also IP68 rated for dust and water resistance and sells for $399.99 for Prime members.

The last of the devices is the LG G6+ with 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC and a 5.7-inch FullVision QHD screen. It has dual 13MP rear cameras and a 5MP wide-angle front camera. G6+ buyers also get IP68 protection for dust and water, and the smartphone sells for $499.99 for Prime members.

"We’re excited to welcome LG as a new manufacturer to the Prime Exclusive Phones program," said Adrian Hurditch, Director of Product Management, Amazon. "With the additions of the LG G6, LG G6 +, LG Q6 and LG X charge to the portfolio, Prime members now have access to a wider variety of the latest unlocked smartphones, including those with premium hardware and high-end features, all at an incredible value."
