Huawei Mate 10 Pro Leak Showcases Slim Bezels, Dual Cameras, And Funky Color Schemes
New images of the smartphone have leaked out courtesy of Evan Blass. The notorious gadget leaker posted renders of both the front and back of the device in three colors: grey, blue and brown. In a bid to liven things up a bit, the Mate 10 Pro features a lighter shade band that cuts across the back of the device, encompassing the dual cameras and the LED flash. If anything, it breaks up the monotony that is typified by most flagship smartphones, as we've seen with Google's Pixel family.
Speaking of the dual rear cameras, it's alleged that the Mate 10 Pro will have 12MP and 20MP sensors out back. Up front, selfie camera duties will be handled by an 8MP camera.
As for the display (which has an 18:9 aspect ratio), it will measure 5.99 inches, has a resolution of 2880x1440, and has minimal bezels all around. The tiny bezels, however, didn't stop Huawei from squeezing in its brand name at the bottom of the device to complement the Huawei branding prominently featured on the back of the device.

Powering the device is a Kirin 970 SoC with 6GB of RAM. Customers will be able to choose from 64GB or 128GB of RAM, and the smartphone manages to pack in a beefy 4,000 mAh battery into a 7.5mm-thick chassis. Other features happen to include IP68 dust/water resistance and a Category 16 LTE modem. The Mate 10 Pro will also be one of the first smartphones to ship with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, although it will come skinned with Huawei's EMUI 6.0.
We'll have to wait until October 16th when the Mate 10 Pro -- and its other 10 Series siblings -- are revealed to the public for details on pricing and availability.
