GeForce 7900 GS Heads For Retail Market
The GeForce 7900 GS is nothing new, but it hasn't been available in the retail market since its birth. According to HKEPC Hardware, Nvidia will be changing the situation by releasing the 7900 GS for around $179-$199. The GeForce 7900 GS is equipped with 20 Pixel Shader Pipeline, 7 Vertex Shader Engine, with a core speed of 450MHz, and 256MB of 1.32GHz memory.
"In addition, the retail price of Geforce 7600GT has been reduced to $130. Since OEM manufacturer Palit has got a special price of G73GT from nVidia, the price war on Geforce 7600GT has begun. To lower the cost, manufactures are releasing 7600GT in 4-level PCB. Therefore, the sales in ATi Radeon X1600 family have been greatly affected by the price war."
