First announced at E3 2016, Doom’s Unto the Evil DLC is now available for download on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. The download, which is actually the first DLC for Doom, brings with its three new multiplayer maps (Offering, Cataclysm and Ritual) to keep you busy.

If that wasn’t enough, there’s a new playable demon (Harvester) and a new weapon (UAC EMG Pistol) to wreak havoc with. The PartyPlay system also allows anyone to join in on Unto the Evil fragging action as long as one of your participating “party” friends has purchased the DLC. There are also new taunts, armor sets and hack modules to peruse.

In addition to Unto the Evil, Bethesda is also hosing a double XP weekend which lasts through Monday, August 8th.

Bethesda gave the Doom reboot it first major update back on June 29th. Along with the update came a new Photo Mode, the ability to have your weapon centered in the screen (a la the original Doom) and various tweaks to single and multiplayer gameplay. The second update, delivered exactly a month later, brought two new multiplayer game modes, new SnapMap features and another healthy dose of fixes and optimizations.

We should also mention that if you’re running an AMD graphics card, you might want to make sure that you’re running the latest version of the Radeon Software drivers, which include Vulkan API support. As we’ve previously reported, the Vulkan API boosts frame rates by up to 27 percent on the Radeon RX 480 when running at 1080p (23 percent at 1440p).
