Corsair Releases Vengeance Pro DDR3 Memory for Haswell Systems & Boosts Gaming Accessories
Computex has been the backdrop for ton of new product announcements this week, and they’re still coming. Corsair unveiled several new components for performance and gaming PCs, some of which are designed with the new Haswell processors in mind.
Corsair Vengeance Pro DDR3 Memory
The most noteworthy Corsair product announced is the Vengeance Pro Series DDR3 memory. If you’re building a new system around a 4th generation Intel Core processor and you plan to overclock it, you’re the kind of customer Corsair has in mind for its new Vengeance modules.
Kits are available in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB flavors and at speeds ranging from 1600MHz to 2933MHz. Because Corsair is targeting the overclocker/modder/gamer crowds, the Vengeance modules are well-dressed. Each sports a black aluminum heat spreader, and the modules are available with blue, gold, red, or silver accents. If you’re going to be really pushing the system when you overclock, you might want to pick up the optional Vengeance Pro Airflow fan, which is a 60mm ball-bearing fan that has removable shroud colors.

Corsair also announced some new cases, including the Carbide Series Air 540 High Airflow case and the Carbide Series 330 R Quiet chassis. Both cases are mid-towers with support for Mini ITX-through-Extended ATX motherboards. The Air 540 features a flush-mount window and mount points for six 120mm fans or five 140mm fans. Alternatively, you can put a radiator on top and throw some fans in the front, if you’re into watercooling.

Corsair Raptor K50
The switches have a little resistance to them in the middle of the keystroke, and the Brown switches depress with a softer clicking sound. Corsair also announced the Corsair Raptor K50 gaming keyboard, which lets you obsess over customizations ‘til your heart’s content. It has onboard macros, anti-ghosting, and backlighting that (according to Corsair) supports 16.8 million color choices.

Corsair also released two new gaming mice: the Raptor M30 ($49.99) and M40 ($59.99). Both mice have an Avago ADNS-3090 4000 DPI optical sensor, but the M40 has adjustable weights. Both mice have DPI switching and specialized glide pads.
Overall, it's an interesting crop of new components. The keyboards are particularly tantalizing for those of us who want more options than the MX Red switches.

Carbide Series Air 540
The Carbide 330R, on the other hand, is built for stealth. Noise-dampening material inside the case mute the up to five fans. (There are locations for 120/140mm fans at the front and top, and a 120mm rear fan mount). Both the Corsair 330R ($89.99) and the Air 540 ($139.99) have built-in cable routing features and external USB 3.0 ports. And, both are available now.

On the accessories side, Corsair trotted out a newish keyboard with some new switches. The Vengeance K70 mechanical keyboard, which first hit stands in March with Cherry MX Red key switches, now is available with Cherry MX Brown or Blue switches.
