Best Buy To Offer Apple Authorized Mac And iPhone Repair Services In 1,000 Stores
Best Buy has announced that it has teamed up with Apple to provide authorized repair services at 1,000 Best Buy locations around the country. Apple says that the expansion will make it easier for customers to access safe and reliable repairs. The Best Buy stores that will offer the Apple repair services are in specific cities; not all locations will have repair services.
Cities that offer repairs include Yuma, Arizona; Sioux City, Iowa; Twin Falls, Idaho; Casper, Wyoming and Bismarck, North Dakota. Repairs are made via the Best Buy Geek Squad service and the company has nearly 7,600 newly Apple-certified technicians that can make same-day repairs to iPhones and service other Apple Products.
Apple says that "certified" repairs at an Apple Store or authorized service provider are performed by trained experts using genuine parts and the repairs are backed by Apple.
“At Apple, we’re dedicated to providing the best customer service in the world,” said Tara Bunch, Apple’s vice president of AppleCare. “If a customer ever needs to repair their products, we want them to feel confident those repairs are done safely and correctly. We’re always looking at how we can reliably expand our network of trained technicians and we’re excited to partner with every Best Buy store so it’s even easier for our customers to find an authorized repair location near them.”
Apple says that eight out of ten Apple customers are within 20 minutes of an Apple authorized service provider. Speaking of authorized service centers, Apple recently performed about $10,000 in repairs to a photographer's MacBook Pro only to find out that the screen brightness had been turned all the way down.
