Best Buy Offering Up To $150 Gift Card For Droid Turbo Purchase

Motorola released its flagship Droid Turbo smartphone just over a month ago, but that doesn’t mean that you have to wait until after the New Year to get one for an extremely attractive price point — that is, if you’re an existing customer or planning on making a switch to Verizon Wireless.

The Droid Turbo normally sells for $199 with a new, two-year contract, and that isn’t changing with the Best Buy’s newest promotion. However, those that qualify for a device upgrade through Verizon Wireless can score a $100 Best Buy gift card when they purchase the phone either with a new two-year upgrade or with an upgrade through Verizon Next. Best Buy ups the ante if you’re a new customer to Verizon Wireless or open up a new line of service by offering a $150 gift card.

Unfortunately, this isn’t exactly as attractive as an instant discount on the price of the phone since you’re instead being offered a gift card, but it’s still a decent enough deal if you were already planning on pursuing a device upgrade with Verizon Wireless.

If you need a refresher, the Droid Turbo features a Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB of RAM, 5.2” QHD AMOLED display, 32GB of internal storage, a 21MP rear camera, and a massive 3900 mAh battery which promises 48 hours of battery life.

Best Buy’s promotion for the Droid Turbo ends on December 13.
