Apple Watch Series 4 Discounted By Up To $129 With These Amazon Hot Deals

Last month, Apple announced the Apple Watch Series 5, which as its name implies if the fifth-generation of its best-selling smartwatch family. The Series 5 represents a minor update over the previous generation, with the biggest change being the inclusion of a new LTPO display that allows the display to be on at all times without negatively affecting battery life.

With that in mind, Apple and its retail partners are looking to reduce inventory of the older Series 4 to make room for the Series 5 (the Series 3 remains in the lineup at a discounted price). Amazon is offering some pretty nice discounts on the Series 4, with biggest discount going to the 44mm GPS + Cellular model (aluminum). The watch normally retails for $529, but Amazon is currently discounting it by $129, dropping the price to $399.97. If you prefer the stainless steel body with sapphire glass instead of the aluminum body and Ion-X glass, you can get $100 off that model, making it $649.

If you don't need cellular access for making calls when you don't have (or need) your iPhone on you at all times, the retailer is offering the 44mm GPS-only model which is discounted by $79 taking its price to $349.97.

Most other members of the Series 4 family are discounted by between $50 to $60 depending on body material, color, and watch band type.

We should mention that unless you absolutely can't live without the low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) always-on display and the addition of a built-in compass of the Series 5, you'd probably be better served taking the discount on the Series 4.

The Apple Watch Series 4 is powered by Apple’s S4 SoC and incorporates a built-in ECG for detecting heart arrhythmia and fall detection, which can dial emergency services automatically if you take a tumble. Apple says that the Series 4 is rated for up to 18 hours of battery life.
